Shock at the end for Panathinaikos: 2-2 draw with Hradec Králové

The "Greens" took a 2-0 lead thanks to two goals from Tetteh, but conceded two goals from Umar in the final minutes.

Panathinaikos suffered an unbelievable setback at OAKA in the Conference League qualifiers, as they drew 2-2 with Hradec Králové. Although Jakob Neestrup's team had full control of the match and took a significant two-goal lead in the second half, the inactivity in the final minutes proved disastrous.

Tetteh's outburst

After a goalless first half, Panathinaikos started strong in the second. In the 55th minute, Andreas Tetteh opened the scoring with an accurate shot from inside the box, igniting the stands. Six minutes later, in the 61st minute, the same player capitalized on Pedro Chirivella's pass and doubled his team's goals, showing that they were "embracing" victory.

The unexpected comeback of the Czechs

The Czech team did not give up and took advantage of the changes and relaxation of the hosts. Abdulahi Umar, who came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute, proved to be the golden player for the visitors. In the 89th minute, after an assist from Filip Čihák, he reduced the score to 2-1, putting pressure on Panathinaikos.

In injury time, specifically in the 90'+6' minute, Umar struck again, making the final score 2-2. Panathinaikos had 57.7% possession and a total of 19 attempts (8 on target), but Hradec's effectiveness at the end left a bitter taste for the "Greens".
