Chances and posts, no goals in the first half

Panetolikos started stronger and came close to scoring twice within a minute. In the 9’, Opoku created for Manrique, whose shot hit the junction of the posts. In the 10’, Alexic headed from Manrique's cross, but the ball hit Lillo's crossbar.

The sending off and Kodro's decisive tap-in

In the second half, OFI threatened with a header from Nous, which went just wide, while in the 66’ they had another post. The same player's shot was deflected, changed direction, and ended up hitting Koutserenko's crossbar.

Panetolikos missed a significant chance with Banji and in the 69’ were left with ten players, as Prodromitis was sent off with a second yellow card for a foul on Nous. The hosts tried to protect their goal, but the Cretans increased the pressure and were rewarded in the 88’. Athanasiou crossed the ball into the area and Kodro, who had come on as a substitute, scored with a close-range tap-in for the final 0-1.
