Atromitos – Volos: Seeking their first league win

Atromitos hosts Volos today, Monday, November 2, at 18:00 in Peristeri, for the 9th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League. The two teams are looking for their first win in the league and meet again a few days after their Cup match, in which the Peristeriotes prevailed 3-1 at Panthessaliko.

Atromitos: To continue their Cup victory

Dusan Kerkez's team got a psychological boost with their victory over Volos, but in the league, they are still in a difficult position. With two points and no win, Atromitos needs a positive result that will help them close the gap on the teams ahead in the standings.

The recent 3-1 is a reference point for the hosts, who want to make the most of their home advantage this time. In terms of squad, Simos Mitoglou, Kristopher Nunez, and Dani Garcia were left out. The latter has not fully recovered from the hip injury sustained in the game against Aris.

Volos: Garrido's league debut with a need for reaction

Volos travels to Peristeri with the aim of changing their image after the defeats by Panathinaikos and Atromitos. Juan Carlos Garrido, who replaced Kostas Bratsos, makes his league debut, having sat on the bench for the first time in the Cup game.

The visitors are in last place without a point, after the deduction of three points, which increases the importance of the match. Garrido cannot count on the suspended Mendil, while Tasiouras and Es Saoubi are also out.

The stakes of the match

For Atromitos, the goal is to transfer their Cup effectiveness to the league. For Volos, the priority is to appear more compact and avoid the mistakes that cost them in their previous encounter. With both teams needing points, managing the pressure and capitalizing on opportunities can determine the outcome of the match.
