Aris: Their numbers are impressive
The competitive rise of Aris in recent games is not only reflected in the results and their league position.
The numbers reveal an impressive change in the attacking effectiveness of the "yellow-blacks", who have gone from 15 shots per goal to now scoring once every 4.4 shots.
From five to eight goals
In the first five matchdays of the championship, Aris had found the net only five times. In the three games that followed, however, they scored eight goals, dramatically improving their productivity and combining their attacking rise with climbing to fourth place in the standings.
A characteristic example was the recent match against Panaitolikos. The "yellows" converted their first four shots into goals, although Benjamin Gare's goal was disallowed after the decision of Tsimenteridis and Koumbarakis.
This image is significantly different from what the team presented at the beginning of the season. During that period, Aris had reached the point of needing 15 shots to score a goal, with the ineffectiveness peaking in the game against Iraklis. The Thessaloniki team finished that match with 23 attempts, none of which ended up in the net.

From ineffectiveness to substance
The transition from one final image to another cannot simply be described as an improvement. It is a real attacking transformation, as Aris not only creates opportunities, but now utilizes them with much greater consistency.
Michalis Grigoriou's players appear more decisive near the opponent's area, execute with greater confidence, and have developed better collaborations in the final third of the pitch. The fact that goals are distributed among more players makes the attacking function even less predictable for opponents.
The stable lineup and clear roles
A key role in the change has been played by the stability in the choices of the starting eleven. Michalis Grigoriou shows that he has settled on the players who form the core, as well as those who are called upon to provide solutions during matches.
This specific management has created clear competitive roles and has helped the players develop better chemistry. The presence of Bruma offers speed and threat on the flanks, while Martin Hongla's competitive rise has contributed to stabilizing the midfield.
Even more decisive proves to be the coexistence of Kouame and Kadewere at the top of the attack. The two players work complementarily, press from the first line, and help Aris regain more possessions near the opponent's area.
The pressure that brings more opportunities
The competitive model of the recent matches seems to suit both the characteristics of the players and the demands of the specific games. The intense pressure from the attackers increases the chances of winning the ball in advanced positions and creates better conditions for immediate attacks.
Aris has now gained greater intensity, more collaborations, and clearly better effectiveness. The difference from 15 to 4.4 shots per goal reflects in the most characteristic way its transformation and largely explains both its winning streak and its rise in the standings.
