Aris in a storm and four goals in the first half

The game started in the best possible way for the hosts. In just the 3rd minute, Fabiano Leismann opened the scoring for Aris after an assist from Bruma, making it 1-0. Atromitos managed to react immediately, leveling the game in the 9th minute with Serginho, who capitalized on Steven Zuber's pass for 1-1.

Despite the equalizer, Michalis Grigoriou's team quickly regained control. In the 23rd minute, Kouame gave Aris the lead again, making it 2-1, while four minutes later, in the 27th minute, Petris extended the difference to 3-1 after an assist from Uros Racic. In the 38th minute, Benjamin Garre's goal was disallowed, with the 3-1 score remaining until halftime.

Match management and statistics

In the second half, Aris maintained control and did not allow Atromitos to re-enter the contention for the result. The hosts finished the match with 56.19% ball possession, recording a total of 13 attempts (4 on target) and 5 corners, compared to 20 fouls they conceded to the visitors.

Atromitos tried to change its image with the substitutions of Ofori and Matthaios Mounde at the beginning of the second half, while coach Kerkez made further corrective moves. However, Aris' defensive line, under the guidance of Michalis Grigoriou, maintained its lead without major dangers until the final whistle from referee Tsimenteridis.

In the press conference after the end of the match, Aris coach Michalis Grigoriou stated that he was satisfied with his team's performance: "We had to face a team that may be low in the standings, but I have been there and I know them well," while also commenting on the phase with which Atromitos temporarily equalized.
