The "Union" comes from three consecutive defeats in all competitions. They lost 3-1 to PAOK in Toumba for the Cup, followed by a 2-0 loss to Panathinaikos at OAKA, and then came the dramatic 2-3 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League League Phase.
Keeping the performance against Real
In contrast to the games against PAOK and Panathinaikos, AEK showed a clearly improved face against Real Madrid. They led twice with Koita and Pilios, looked the "queen" in the eye, but succumbed to Valverde's goal in stoppage time.
The result left disappointment, but the performance can be the basis for the next day. AEK showed intensity, energy and determination against a top-level opponent, elements that Nikolic wants to see again against Levadiakos.

The defeat by Panathinaikos left AEK in fourth place with 17 points, seven behind the leading "greens". The "Union" has one game less, however, the distance from the top makes it imperative to return to winning ways.
The game with Levadiakos is one of those in which AEK must confirm its favorite status. A new break for the national teams follows and a positive result will allow them to work in a better atmosphere for the difficult continuation.
At the same time, Nikolic is called to manage the fatigue from the demanding game with Real. The depth of the roster will play an important role, as there may be changes in the starting eleven, without however affecting the intensity and competitive seriousness of the team.
