OFI Crete beat Hoffenheim too, claiming another clean sheet and their first league phase win

OFI Crete continued their excellent European run, beating Hoffenheim 2-0 at home. The Greek side recorded their third consecutive clean sheet in the competition, and the victory also marked their first win in the league phase.

Hoffenheim had more possession and pushed harder for most of the match, but it was OFI who struck first. In the 30th minute, after a strong goal kick, the Greek side's striker won the ball and immediately set up his teammate, who finished clinically into the net for 1-0.

In the second half, Hoffenheim tried to push forward again, but missed a couple of clear chances — one shot went wide, another was saved. In the 78th minute, Hoffenheim came close to equalizing, but the effort went just wide. Six minutes later, OFI delivered the decisive second blow: a substitute delivered a cross that another player off the bench headed home to make it 2-0. Hoffenheim couldn't find a way back into the game, and the match ended in delight for the home fans in Crete.
